i don't know when this happened
or how we got here but now everything is
red & blue
you're either in a red state or a blue state

so what's the synthesis of the two
purple ?? green ??
i need to know
mauve ??
pink-grey ??

and how can we move away from
the true blue the ultrafantastic
red into a shaded grove with a circle of stones
and a slight breeze and a scent of magnolia

coming from the canopy and a bird's call
a bunting that seems to say
sit here for awhile sit
by the stones and look the grey
is green and the green is black

and the sky is changing not blue
not white not even azure
